Sewing the love

My 2 friends (sister missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) came over yesterday to try their hand at sewing aprons. They came up with their own personalized design. Much thanks to another friend, Jessica, for letting us borrow her digital, awesome sewing machine.

Sister Peterson designed her red, white and blue apron with Texas in mind. She decided on a bib apron with a sweetheart neckline. It's embellished with red, white, and blue striped ribbon, and tiny, red and white checked bows. She's thinking of wearing it on the plane ride home to Utah on Friday.

Sister Byrne, a native of South Africa, decided to show her roots with a zebra print. And to add a little funk, she paired it with hot pink. She also made a bib apron
with a beautiful gathered neckline. And embellished hers with a 3-D fabric flower and a scattering of buttons.

Butterfly Gwen

There was a gentle breeze when I took this picture of the butterfly "Gwen" style apron. And, it's a little hard to see, but there are different colored rhinestones accentuating each butterfly.

Lilac "Gwen" apron features ribbon detailing on the pockets. This is a 4 pocket apron. Perfect for crafting, sewing, or cooking! Notice the beautiful button embellishment.

blue and green Gwen

Here we see another "Gwen" style apron. Again, my trusty dress form, Sheena, models it well. Fresh sky blue panel with emerald green ties complements the three pockets. Pockets are a cute vegetable print and have genuine swarovsky crystal embelishments. And the sweet, gathered skirt sports a beautiful multi-colored striped ribbon. This is definitely a cook's aprons!

Here are a couple of our aprons being modeled by my dress form, which my kids named Sheena. So, in both pictures, Sheena is wearing our "Gwen" apron. It's short and sweet. On the left is our Hawaiian and ladybug fabric. Note the large center pocket holding some stamping ink and scrapbook paper. Also, it's a little hard to tell, but there are swarovski rhinestone crystals on the flowers. On the right, Sheena wears fabric inspired by the 70's. All "Gwen's" have different sized pockets. These two pictures just happen to have large pockets on them. Also, all "Gwen's" have long apron ties which criss-cross in the back and wrap back around to tie on the side or the front. Hello!

Hello to crafters everywhere!

We are Three Girl Bling! We make retro, funky aprons...aprons with an attitude! We also make cards, blinged out, of course! (Pictures coming soon!)

We dedicate our efforts to our grandmother, Gwendolyn Lorraine Gibbs Grove. A beautiful, almost-98-yr-old, spunky lady who is the love of our life. Without her, we would not have the strong determination and gumption to move forward in our venture. We love you, Little Grandma!

We are two cousins (Niki and D'Nel) who decided to name our business after our three daughters. Three seems to be a meaningful number in our lives. Little Grandma had three daughters. Little Grandma was one of three sisters. Niki has two siblings, making her one of three. D'Nel has three sisters. We both have three children. We like the number 3!

We hope to inspire crafters everywhere to not only wear aprons during meal preparation, but to use your apron to work in the garden, while you scrapbook, while you sew, while you craft! Wear it during a dinner party. This is not a boring apron! You'll see!
